I've always gone to the dermatologist regularly since I was a teenager. So I go about every six months. If I find anything that pops up on me that doesn't go away on it's own, I point it out to her, but she always searches me from head to toe for anything that looks suspicious. The teeny spot about the size of the point of a needle on my chest, checked out fine and no suspicion that cancer is there anymore. I haven't found anything, so I figured after she checked everywhere I'd be out of there. I got a little too confident. She asked me if should take a brown spot she found on my scalp, stitch me up, and come back in 10 days to get the stitches out...and will have the pathologist report. She really was optimistic that it was nothing, but cautious knowing my history and my families'. Got word today that it was benign! Figured it was, but it sure is a relief to hear that word!
