Stuff I've been Making Lately

Like, really late getting this stuff up. It's one thing to make stuff, but then to take a picture, hook up to computer, download, then upload, the crop or whatever...we'll complain about any of the conveniences of our era. Seriously, ditigal is a God send, but can make life more complicated like all the other technologies. Oh, well.

finally did a heart shaped candy box for myself. Much more relaxed doing it for me. Used my own handwriting, which isn't great, but makes it ME, and this quote has me written all over it!

This is my March Calendar Layout. And also part of the Elsie Challenge Number 10 from the Scrap In Style group doing the cards. It's a mini book about the real you, but we could do whatever since we're just doing cards. I did my Layout and a card. The layout is much more serious, but really love the look. PEACE!

Here's what I wrote: "Stay here in this land. If you do, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you." Jer. 42:10 Three years ago was my breaking point. I was broken down and my life has not been the same since. I don't think the same, I don't look the same, I don't act the same. I have to be where I am right now. I can't go back. I've made that choice. I know there's something better for me. But it's taking time. And I wonder when I will get where I'm going. Slowly my life is spiraling up. I come to the same point on the spiral, but at a higher level. Things are making more sense. It took a major life-changing experience to get me to this point, and I will keep moving forward. It will be worth it. I had the faith to make the change and leave an old life of dysfunction and control. I'm reloading my mind with good and weeding through the bad. I don't like where I am right now, but I know it's where I need to be to continue to be who I am supposed to be.

March Calendar

Elsie Challenge #9 - Doodle on a photograph. I seriously love this. He was going absolutely crazy this day. It was one of those days it felt like the movie The Birds.

Elsie Challenge #7 - take an artistic photograph, something you don't notice regularly. My stash of Bath and Body Works I stocked up on after Christmas ;)Denise took my spot for the half marathon at Disney. Both she and Dennis look great! I would have been all sweaty and red. They look like they just got there!

Put it in a nice frame for Dennis to hang.

Elsie Challenge #8, I think;) To use 4 or more photos. Dennis's ways...well...I should really make a book about the things he does.

Part of Tena Sprenger's class on book making. This particular book is the pamphlet stitch and based from the Rise Up and Create book for doing art journals. Using a calendar format, just put it whatever, receipts, cards, pictures, words, color...love this kind of stuff...I'm all over it.

Love the way the outside came out. Used some goodies I got from Scrap in Style...the charms really look so cute.

Back in the day the song, "Life is just a bowl of Cherries" meant all good. I look at it as life is both bitter and sweet. And this pattern paper was perfect with the cherries with tiny skulls hidden throughout.

Yeah! finished this rolodex swap for the upcoming Scrap, Etc. event!

Yes, another rolodex swap group for the same event.

Elsie Challenge #10 - Be Real - Here's my card to keep consistent with the card theme, but did this one as a fun one and just little tidbits about me. Here's what it says: If I were to turn the TV on right now, I would check out all the cartoon channels: Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon, Boomerang. If I had a choice to go out to eat or stay home, I usually stay home. I'm always a little nervous when I meet new people. I do like to exercise; can't wait to get back to the gym. I'm not a Suzie Q Homemaker; I only like to dabble in being domestic. If I had a choice between a dress or pants: JEANS or SWEATS!

Oh, man, more gifts to make. Thought I was gonna die. I'm getting to Nashville early for the Scrap, Etc. event and 27 crazy ladies from all ages and different lifestyles will be riding around in a limo stocked full of liquor and going to different shops all over town. We had to make or buy a little something for each other. I've always loved the Hollywood look of having flowers in your hair...especially love Tarina Tarintina and she is the one who inspired this less expensive one. I did the same concept, as a Clip-It-Anywhere flower, that you can put in your hair, clip to a purse, clip to a jacket, a lanyard, whatever. I thought it was perfect for an all-girls thing.
