Last Day of 2008!

Really inspired this Christmas.  More than ever.  Just really enjoying the creativity.  And lots of the inspiration as always comes from SIStv.  And they are having a huge BASEMENT SALE over there!  So please go check it out.  All kinds of grab bags, their kits, and gorgeous papers and things you will not find in a scrapbook store.  I used ALL of my Christmas money over there...just so many fun things and makes me want to create.  I could have spent it on clothes...but I wanted more fun things that I can enjoy using and share with others.  Just about everything I make comes from SIStv.

This LO uses their Style Phyle kit for December.  I subscribe to this kit because it's only $13, that includes shipping, and has lots of little things that I cannot find in a scrapbook store.
The vintage stamps, ribbon, and Making Memories tiny alpha stickers came from the Style Phyle collection.  The Sassafras patter papers I purchased separately from SIStv.

Very special layout for me.  The journaling reads:

We had this manger set at Mom and Dad's for as long as I can remember.  Lisa and I would fight over who would arrange all the figures.  We were constantly moving them around.  I'm so thankful Lisa still had it, so all of us can enjoy it and have the memories to carry on.
This layout, used some of that last little bits of The Girl Next Door kit from SIStv.  The shiny silver letters, the fabrics, and the gorgeous stamps from October Afternoon.  Used Versamark and stamped the "T'was the night before Christmas..." story all over the background of the cardstock, then randomly stamped the little round snowflake stamp.  The Christmas trees and the Santa are from the stamp set as well, and last, but not least, also used the little "a very merry Christmas" at the bottom.  Also used my new Slice from Making Memories to make the scalloped circles and the scalloped square.

As I was trying to organize my photos and print them out, I had company...I don't know how she can even breathe, because it is dead weight on my hand...she just loves touch and the sound of your voice...always has to be by us or know where we are...;)

Another  card added to my book from using Elsie's 52 Scrapbook Challenges.  This one was to use the same word over throughout the layout to draw the focus to the journaling.  I used the word "Be."  Also used the inspiration from the challenge that came after this, to make your own buttons...loved the look of the diagonal with the stitching.
Have used my binder that I created and put together with the free information and downloads that I received from the 30 Days to a Handmade Christmas workshop I took from SIStv.  I really used this book.  So finally got around to decorating it to make it cute!  Sassafrass paper, and the Christmas Style Phyle kit from SIStv were used.

I've made some wonderful friends through scrapbooking, the blog world, and more importantly SIStv.  Gabbe just out of the blew sent me tons of Hello Kitty and cute Japanese papers and stickers.  I had been wanting to send her a package of goodies as well.  So made most of the little goodies for her.  Used the papers, vintage stickers, and stamps from the Christmas Style Phyle from SIStv to make the card.  The swirls I cut using my Slice.
I had made one of these for me, and still had the template...thought Gabbe would like this so made her one as well.  Just a tiny photo album in the shape of Hello Kitty...

...that all fits in the candy tin...the only problem I had was that I got a little heavy handed on the embellishments forgetting it needed to fit in the tin...;)
...but got it to fit...

This was from a pattern from a kit I purchased from Red Velvet last year, and love this idea of making a felt holder to hold essentials during the winter month, like kleenex, hand sanitizer, and lip balm.

And my sister's birthday is tomorrow...on New's Day!  Have her main birthday present that isn't here yet, but always like to make birthdays for her as special as I can.  We have gotten very close since our Mom died, and look out for each other.  So made this cute bag to fit all of her cute little goodies inside...made the tag, her name, 'dream,' and the flowers from the Slice.
She loves calendars and loves the guitar player from Def Leppard, so made her this little calendar so she can drool over him all throughout the year ;)  Used the Zutter to bind it.

Made her a birthday cracker to pop open.  Loved this idea from my 30 Days to a Handmade Christmas with SIStv.  Instead of filling it with confetti, I printed and cut up tiny pics of the guitar playing from Def Leppard!!!

Used my Slice to cut out the star and 'laugh.'
She finally has a camera and is taking pictures of her fur baby, Greta.  So used this tin...feel like  I pimped my tin, like pimp my ride ;)...very funky and fun looking.  Used the I *heart* Candy Town paper collection from SIStv to make this fun looking!  Used sparkle Mod Podge to cover the top.

Letters were cut using the Slice.

Here's my Slice...I have used this thing so much more than I even thought I would.  So happy with it.  Archie isn't too thrilled ;)  The QuitKutz there is just to make her Def Leppard calendar lie flat...I haven't used that thing in forever, but it's a good paper weight ;)  The Slice is tempermental.  I notice when it is not cutting after it has been cutting, that it needs to be charged, and the smaller circles come out a little distorted.  What's great is that I contacted Making memories directly, and they are aware of it and working to resolve.  Hey, I know with any computer, there are going to be glitches, but all in all, I LOVE THIS THING!!!

Wanted to make some New Year's cards.  Cards usually aren't my thing, but the bug hit and I had so much fun putting these together.  Used some cardstock I know I won't use for layouts that were perfect for the fun feel of the cards.  Used paint to grunge them up a bit as well...
Used all Bam Pop for the cards, which is perfect for these!  Made them all pop up cards.  I remembered seeing a webisode on SIStv with Kelli Crowe on how to make these cards, so I went over to SIStv to watch it again.  So voila...they PoP OuT!!!
They are all a little different, using the supplies that I already had...

Looking forward to 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taking Ashley Wren's Love Myself in 2009 class starting on the 5th.  Today is the last day to sign up and save $5.  It is well worth it!!!  I have learned some amazing things through all of the SIStv workshops and have taken two of Ashley's classes...VERY inspiring and not what you would find in a scrapbook store or magazine.
