Keeping Busy, but Trying to Relax

Dennis is still doing his runs.  He's got another race coming up, it's a 10k...he says he doesn't need to train for that...I'm like, well, okay, whatever!  I guess since he can do the half marathons, he's good to go.

No 'official' news to report on the batch of referrals for February 2009.  I have to say the year since they are backed logged to March 2006...just so confusing.  Dennis' Mom called yesterday and was thinking we would get our referral next week.  The batch for February 2009 was March 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2006...so a four day referral for that month.  It could have been more, but haven't heard anything definite.  With that, there is no way that we could get a referral this month, for March 2009...not unless they did an eight day referral batch, and haven't seen that amount in 3 years.

But we are both VERY anxious.  We know it's coming very soon now, but we are forced to see just how slow they match, but thankful for more than a 1 day referral month!  That does help a lot!  So Dennis is on a mission.  When we had our wood floors put in, the contractor said that we should take the time to paint that little strip of wood right above the floor, can't remember the official name for it.  It was already white, but he said painting it with the good white paint would make a difference.  So that's what Dennis started doing this week.

And remember that old window frame...this was from May 2008 when we started to strip the old paint off...

Dennis put the hardware on it, after we finished painting it.  I did a simple layout...but so many ideas really...just had to commit to something right now...very easily it can be changed out...

Other than that...we just wait...and did a layout about that...

And doing some other creative outlets right now...

This was for the Scrapping to the Music challenge blog site.  The song was Stand by Your Man, the Blues Brother's version.  Couldn't help but think about that blurry pic Dennis took of himself at the hotel...

And found another blog site for Art Journaling, called the Life of an Art Journal.  Have three other entries to catch up on, but don't have to...  I'm not too great at doing Art Journals, but I know and have heard so many good things about doing them for yourself.  Used my old Dr. Phil book...ripped it apart and put it back together with the amount of pages I wanted back in it.  I glued the front and back cover to the pages and some of the middle pages so that it would all stay intact like a real book.  Felt good to destroy a Dr. Phil book!

So that's it for now...trying to chill and just doing what we can right now...because when we do get our referral...we're both going to be officially crazy!!!  We just have no clue!
