So happy to get some goodies for my birthday from Gauche Alchemy.  Found out about them from Scrapping the Music, as they were last week's sponser...so had to check them out, and got me some goodies for myself...

Doing a few more things for the house...so used what I got from Gauche to alter this ampersand...

So far Emma is still in the Thomas and Friends phase...Thomas, Percy, and Salty have to eat breakfast with her, take naps, and go night night...

They are the ones you can put in the tub and they squirt water, but they didn't stay in her bath too long.  If her new-found love of Thomas is still going strong come Christmas time, I think a train set may be what this little girl gets...

Can't beat the heat too much other than doing things early and not staying out too long.  The three of us, this time, did the feeding zoo...she kicked it up a notch...not scared AT all this time by the bigger animals...she actually didn't want to leave ;)

I've learned one thing of having to be outside more than I like to is to just have a towel with me and wear very little makeup...because I sweat!!!

Naps are so so and even more so so when she is very active...so after a very hot and tiring day with no rest in between, we decided to do free time and art class at Gymboree...so glad we did...had an awesome time!!!

The pool does help to beat the heat a little...the solar cover helps to keep the water warm and not so shockingly cold when you first get in.  Emma's not wearing her life jacket, but sometimes will get in her floaty...mostly just likes to play with her cups, bubbles, and for us to throw her up in the air to make a splash!

Finally visited another church we are not members of right now...thought she might like it and she did...not a good picture of her...but she was doing quite a bit of dancing!  The pre-school, for her age group during the sermon, is iffy for her...but we like the setup and will be able to do it regularly and a little more each time until she gets comfortable...

So we had to leave a little early and went to one of her favorite places...Barnes and Nobles...after playing with the Thomas and Friends' train set...her favorite hangout is on the stage with a good book...

When I can...I still get my time to play...for my June calendar...

With my sweat towel in hand and another Mom and a Gymboree buddy of Emma's, we headed to the zoo this week.  She actually walked more than I had to carry her the entire time this time!  We had a really good time...hugs to the baby elephant statue...

Only about a five minute nap this day!  Very long day!  But she let me lay on the sofa a little so I could get a little rest thankfully!

Getting ready for this little ones second birthday party!  I can't believe a year has almost past of us being together!

And here's about a 5 minute video of our time feeding the animals and Gymboree free play and art class...

Sit Down and Hear My Song

The latest challenge song is up on Scrapping the Music.  Come play!!!

And wow...missed this past whole week to post the challenge...I think I'm going a little crazy...which was my emphasis for this layout for sure!

Feel like I need time to breathe...but see no light at the end of the tunnel for that happening soon...the meaning of 24/7 has kicked up a notch!

Oh, To Be a Kid Again...

Just tonight, we watched a little of Ni Hao, Kai-Lan while having dinner, but I was thinking that is one of the very few times we have watched one of Emma's shows.  One reason I think is because she's back to being 24/7...not that she stopped much before.  But very clingy and wanting you to play with her.  So she is keeping us very busy.

Still loves to take pictures with the iPhone.  Hopefully, she'll like her camera we have for her birthday...but these are pictures she took after one of our Target runs...
I think Dada might have at least helped to get my face in the picture...although who knows with little chickadee...
With the recent separation anxiety...instead of tag teaming it...when Dennis would get home, I'd go run to Target or the grocery store...we ALL go together...takes much longer...but like I said...she is at least excited now to sit for a little bit in the carts...and will stay the whole time if they have the cars attached to them.  Then while Dada checks out, we sit on the chairs and play a little...  That would be black pepper she has in her hand...the seal isn't open though ;)
Emma loved the zoo so much when I took her, we decided to do it again.  Well...not so good.  I think she was tired.  The train whistle was loud...but way too many stops for her...not a good day, as you can see.  She didn't even like the carousel when she begged and cried for more the last time we were there...oh well.   She wanted off the train, but then we ended up following the train on foot...she didn't want back on though...then when the train really took off, she wanted on it!  So we ran after the train to see if we could get back on...yeah...not a good day...she just didn't enjoy it like she did before.
More silly iPhone pictures...  Her newest favorite thing is "bed" "bed" "bed."  She loves to get on Momma and Dada's bed and play with the iPhone, along with her other latest favorite, Thomas the Train and Percy.
So everyday, at least three times, we get on the bed.  This time, she's back into doing makeup like she sees me do...so I was playing with her hair and she was (pretending) to put makeup on...

Seriously, these are emotional pictures for me...I am the one always taking pictures.  I look at the pictures I've taken and wish I were in them with her and have missed out on everything  So we are making sure that Dada gets behind the camera more lately and I am so happy to finally be getting some pictures with us together like this...

I pulled out my costume jewelry and we played dress-up and did the makeup thing again.  She also had a lot of fun doing this at her Aunt Lisa's house...she calls Aunt Lisa "La "La."

We had a great time for Memorial Day.  Aunt Lee Lee or "La La" as she says came over and we all swam and enjoyed being out by the pool.

Dada had a good idea to bring out the chalks.  I think he had more fun with them though ;)

We found this little ladybug from Melissa and Doug at Toys R Us.  Tried it for the first time here and, of course, Momma and Dada had to be the ones to show her how fun it is...so finally after we all got wet, she loosened up and then we couldn't get her back in...

We weren't prepared...so we were all in our regular clothes, not bathing suits...it all worked out fine though...

She likes to say "cheese" now when you take her picture...

This is the best thing we could have bought...she loves Miss Ladybug!

And here has been one of the latest crazes...Thomas the Train...on the website, they have videos and games...she loves it!  The video says it all...

You Don't Want to Miss A Thing

The latest song over on Scrapping the Music is up this week by Aerosmith!  These pictures to scrap for the song were perfect!

Lots of pictures to post, but no time...Emma is still very clingy since I've been home now over a month from that very short weekend trip...
