Here is a layout using the new All Hallow's Eve collection. What is so cool about this collection are the neutral colors. It is so easy to work with and I used it here in a 2-page (8 1/2 x 11) layout using Instagrammed photos from a recent cemetery tour here in New Orleans.
I will share a tip of how this layout came together so fast. I grouped the photos onto a blank document using Photoshop Elements...then printed them on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of photo paper. I DID NOT cut each one out. Nope...I just cut around the entire piece to glue down. No piecing them back together, except for across the two pages. Super simple and quick!
I don't know which of the new collections from Carta Bella are my favorite, but they have been so much fun to play with. The texture of the 12X12 papers is like cardstock.
Please hop over to the rest of the the amazing design team to see which collection they have created with. Leave comments on each one. All comments are due by midnight EDT on Thursday, September 27 to qualify. Good Luck!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to save time! Anything that saves time is a good thing. Love how this turned out!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great double pager and I love how you've gotten so many great photos in! It's a great design!
ReplyDeleteI really like the speckled look on the paper. Im going to have to try it!! Was that just with a paint brush and reg acrylic paint???
ReplyDeleteNickole, I used mist. I unscrew the top and stop flicking it. I have a video coming up soon for Carta Bella showing how I do this. I used to use paint, but not since mists came out...so much easier!
ReplyDeleteLove your layout! And what a great tip for your photos.
ReplyDeletelove how you used the halloween papers.
ReplyDeleteI love your layout. I love two pagers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful LO, love the typed journaling and scalloped elements!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! This is one amazing page! Totally pub worthy, I hope you submit it somewhere!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the layout. Great work. Have a great day
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! :) I love the flower on the last image. How did you make that?
ReplyDeleteMelissa, the flower is from the pattern paper. I cut it from the Silhouette. this is the design...Design id #30029 and it is by Jamie Koay. I love her designs. But it is just a simple spiral you cut from paper. You can do it without a die cutting machine. This design had kind of points on the ends, so I thought it had that "wicked" look to fit the Halloween collection. Hope this helps!
DeleteBeautiful!! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteThey do those graveyard tours here too, I really want to go. Thats a great idea to print the photos like that ! Love the letter style ! Lovely LO.

ReplyDeleteThere is a whole story on 2 pages!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layout. Love the idea of using the photos!!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is a fantastic layout! I am very inspired to lift a similar idea in my own local area, perhaps Seattle's Volunteer Cementery as that is where Bruce Lee is buried. I am so glad to see that all of those markers are still intack considering all New Orleans has been through...or going through! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us your design style! New visitor/follower!
ReplyDeleteChristine, I never thought I would enjoy a cemetery tour as much as I did. So much history. Of course, doing a night tour would have a different feel to it ;) but would be fun, although, I don't think I would want to be in a cemetery at night!

Simple? I wish my 'simple' had so much detail! Love the round pennants. There's so much here to love, not enough time to mention each element that wows me.
ReplyDeleteThank you, ehbost. It looks like a lot of detail, but it really isn't. It's lots of little pieces of pattern paper and the focus on the photos...oh and very linear...so really is simple and quick as far as design.
