Gossamer Blue Design Team Announcement and July Kits!

Cannot tell you how excited I am to be joining the Gossamer Blue team!  I had the opportunity to work with Lori a couple of times in the past, and loved working with her.  And then to see this amazing team...I cannot believe I am working with all this talent!

The July kits have been revealed, and they are packed!  Such a great mix of manufacturers PLUS Gossamer Blue exclusives.  I got the Main Scrapbooking and Life Pages Kits (both of these have exclusive stamps that I have to say make me so happy.  I love useable stamps like these).  There are also printable and cut files for both the main kits!  The add-ons I got are:  Life Pages Add-OnLife Pages Add-On 3, and the Bits and Pieces kit.  First of all, I was amazed at the amount in each kit, then I was amazed by the great mix of manufacturers plus the exclusives from Gossamer Blue.  I am seriously impressed with what Lori and her designers put together.

We have four projects to complete, one is for the Gossamer Blue blog and one is for a blog hop.  So will share those later!  Here is what I can show now.

My Project Life spreads are monthly now and this was for April.  And I am loving the pops of color for this spread.  Even though this it was Easter, I still have a lot of photos with color, so it really worked out so well.  I used the main Life Pages and first add-on.  I did mix in a little from the Bits and Pieces from the 6x6 Pink Paislee Atlas paper pad.
My pockets are from October Afternoon and are square 4", so I do have to alter cards to fit in my pockets.  I will either trim them to fit or layer them...love the added smaller square cards in the kits!  I also used the stamp set from the Life Pages kit, along with the Main kit cut files and printables.
Next are two cards.  I love how this first came out.  I used the Crate Paper campfire as the flames for my rocket, just trimmed the part I needed...then used the Life Pages stamp to create my starry sky with white embossing powder.  Applied watercolor to the background.

For the 'smoke' at the bottom, I used a 1" circle punch with pattern paper to overlap them, then added messy stitching.  The sentiment is also from the Life Pages kit stamp!

This next card, uses the Bits and Pieces stamp set from Evalicious...I had to use that "I Love You A Latte."

The kits are packed with Crate Paper, Shimelle, Pink Paislee, and Evalicious.  I loved being able to play with the mix of manufactures since I am usually working with only one manufacturer at a time.  On my CHA Winter wish list was the Shimelle line, so I kind of went crazy having fun playing with a lot of her line on this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I have two more projects...layouts to share soon!  The gallery for the kits are amazing...I am both inspired and intimidated.  Designer Gallery for layouts hereDesigner Cards and Projects here, and Designer Life Pages here.  And pick up your kits here!  Enjoy!!
