I am such a huge fan of Fall, although Summer is right up there with it. I have been consistently exercising. Walking, aerobics, yoga. I may never have the body I imagine, but I am strong, and at my age that is a very good thing! LOL Anyway, I had finished up yoga, and looked out the front door. I could see the tree outside through the transom above the door. I was so inspired. I knew I had to make this frame.
I used the new Pink Paislee Cedar Lane collection. Let me say that Pink Paislee has been having some amazing collections, but this one and Memorandum have exceeded amazing. Okay, back to the project...I used a combination of the Silhouette and my Big Shot to make this.
I have an old Shimelee woodgrain embossing folder I used on the tree. The leaves, you will see me use these A LOT...a WHOLE lot! My all-time favorite Lawn Fawn leaves. I almost bought a whole new set because in the messes I had been creating, I lost a leaf! That is how much I love this set! Come to find out, I had put it in this collection after making a layout with it! I could have used the Silhouette for these leaves, but honestly you don't get this look with the Silhouette. So I got more exercise by cranking these out on my Big Shot!
To add color to the plain cardstock, I used an almost forgotten tool...the Tim Holtz blender with the Distress inks. I will be using a Michael's coupon to upgrade to the round ones! Super simple...and fast! With any type of off the page/home decor/altered project like this...for me...simple is better.
Hope you can get some of this Cedar Lane collection. It really isn't just for Fall.
