Chinese New Year Envelopes | Elle's Studio

Chinese New Year starts on February 5th.  I usually will have a stash of red envelopes.  After I couldn't find them, I did a quick search in stores that normally carry them.  I'm a little late in getting them, so didn't find any.  I knew I could make my own though!  But instead of traditional 'red' I went with more of a festive Spring look, which has red...LOL

I die cut the gift card envelopes from Elle's Studio Noteworthy 6x6 double-sided sheets, then punched three different sizes of circles from the same paper.  Two of the circles I got very creative with using the new Noted Stamp Set and the Happy Heart Stamp Set to create a horizontal line pattern.  On one, I used the reverse side of the paper that already had lines.

So now having a good variety of three different patterned die cut circles, I got more creative with the Happy Heart Stamp set and created a top and bottom to make my circles look more like lanterns.  Wasn't sure how I wanted to add Happy Chinese New Year, but the Happy Heart Stamp set, the Jane Alphabet Stamp set, and the January Blank Label Stickers helped!

For a quick one-minute how to, I have a video to share showing the process.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  I love getting creative like this and Elle's Studio products really are so versatile!  Will have some Valentine's Tags to share very soon using some of the same products!
