And thank you so much for the comments! So happy you love this collection as much as I do.

Welcome to the Altenew Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection Release Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be celebrating with Altenew and the amazing guests to share the newest Scrapbook Collection release called Live Your Dream. You should have arrived here from the lovely and talented, Kymona Tracey's blog. This new collection is elegant, graphic, modern, and my most favorite...full of color!

The products inspired me to create a Travelers Notebook to document my daughter's journey in ballet so far. This is her first year being in the Company and doing competitions. I needed some Kleenex when I saw and remembered just how little she was when she started.

I covered two pieces of cardboard for my back and front of the album using the pattern paper from the collection. The collection comes with 16 sheets of 12x12 double-sided patterns (2 of each pattern), great for doing projects like DIY like this. I also used Altenew's Navy cardstock for the spine, and some black washi tape from my stash. I trimmed down another piece of pattern paper to adhere to cover the inside of the chipboard cover. The paper I chose for the front is one of the gorgeous bold floral prints, so I just used one of the coordinating chipboard stickers and Wood Epoxy Buttons to finish it. Had to use that Dance Like Nobody's Watching die cut...hard to capture it in photos, but so perfect for this album.

As I went through the collection, I was inspired by the clear stickers. I wanted to show off the transparency of them, so I trimmed down a smaller size front page of clear acetate, stitched pattern paper to one side, and then adhered the clear stickers to the front, I also adhered the Puffy Alphabet Stickers that come with the collection (love that font!).
When you turn that acetate page over, I love that you can see the clear stickers from the back as well! For my second page, I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to almost a 3x4 size tag. To dress up the front of it, I used the die cuts, papers, and alpha stickers from the kit.

You can see in the video below that I had to wait a little bit for that stamping to dry. I used a partial sentiment from the Painted Encouragement stamp set. It helped build my title from the acetate page and also went so well with the font of the alpha stickers!

My typed journaling is on the back of that card. I prepped a few sets of pages, but only added these photos...so far. I want to really have more time to sit down and document the photos you see that I have printed that I share in the video. To prep my white cardstock pages, I used a gel press, with Altenew Crisp Inks in Peach Perfect and Rouge, and a spray water bottle. It perfectly matched the feel of the papers from the kit I selected as well as the album theme.

With the kit, this first page, came together so quickly. I added a little more to my inky white cardstock background by stamping the Painted Flowers stamp set in Altenew Crisp Inks Desert Night. I am very very inspired by cutting into pattern paper and using bits...which is exactly how I finished dressing up the background of this page. I used the triangles I trimmed from covering my album covers, added some stitching to them before adhering them, one by the larger photo and one on the top left.
I just finished this first full page off with one of the chipboard pieces, Wood Epoxy Buttons from the kit, and a few Altenew Enamel Dots.

I love bold, graphic designs as much as I love the more frilly ones that I used in my album above.
The papers inspired me to document our arrival to Walt Disney World. I also get a tropical feel from the collection which also works perfectly with the photos of palm trees and a Summer vacation.

This was such a fun pocket page to create. I used a lot of 2x2 pockets and just simply trimmed some of the pattern papers to fit, adhering chipboard and the clear stickers to them for more texture. I HAD to use that blocked pattern paper where I have the WDW alpha stickers and the criss-cross pattern paper next to our magic bands photo. They caught my eye first from the papers, besides those gorgeous florals. So for this spread, those were my bolder patterns, and the smaller 2x2 were more of the neutral pattern papers to complement.

These colors! And that font of those letters! You can't see in the photos because I used a really pale blue to put the dates we were there at the bottom by the enamel Mickey dots.

If I HAD to pick a most used and favorite product from the kit, it would have to be the clear stickers. They do not add any bulk, can be seen on either side of anything clear you use (so creativity has no limits), and can be layered so easily...for example on this pattern paper I used for this 3x4 card below. Absolutely love that see-through look. The sentiments "happy faces" and "funday" die cut embellishments are from the from the kit really help capture this memory so well.

You can watch my video below to see the process of how the pages of the album came together, prepping them, and the photos I have ready to document and dig into the kit more, as well as the process of creating this pocket page or you can watch it in HD on my YouTube Channel here.
Well, I am now ready for vacation and more memories to scrapbook with this collection. Altenew does have each individual item for sale. I've linked each product I have used throughout my post, and will list them at the bottom of this post. Hope this helps! But now onto the fun stuff for you!!!
I will choose a winner by Thursday, 2/28, from the comments on my post to receive a $30 gift certificate from Altenew!
Good luck!!!
