Altenew July Release Blog Hop
Welcome to the Altenew July Release Blog Hop! Beautiful new products and I cannot wait to see what the team has done with them. You should have come from Therese Calvird's blog. Her cards and work are gorgeous and an inspiration! I also love watching her videos.
I'm so excited to be able to share some projects for this new release. So let me share!
I started this layout using the new Dancing in the Rain stamp set. I stamped the umbrellas vertically in the middle of my layout. Then I used a scrap piece of cardstock with holes punched through as a stencil to blend the Altenew Crisp Dye inks over them.
Then I stamped the raindrops near where my photo would go. Next, using a paint brush and a cup of water, I dropped water onto the inked areas. I wasn't sure how it would do, and I love the effect. I used some of the sentiments from the stamp set to create titles and subtitles. The 'love' is from the Tulip stamp set.
The baroque frame really complemented the feel of this layout while adding a little bit of shine and layering.
The next layout I used the Happy Mail stamp set to form and fill in a circle. I just thought the little stamps in this set would be perfect for that.
I used the bottom of a basket to trace a circle with pencil, and just started stamping and filling in. Left enough space to fill in with little embellishments for more texture. Then I also used the Invisible Numbers to stamp my title and date. I love how those tulips fit inside the label.
To give a little more balance to my layout, I added the stamping at the bottom from the stamp set. I think I used every blue ink that Altenew makes for this layout!
And the last layout I did uses the Tulip, Painted Encouragement, and Happy Mail stamp set. I went a little simple with the design, but I love the stamped sentiment and the way the tulips add a nice detail.
I used the Spicy Yogurt cardstock for my background. I knew I would love it! I masked and stamped the three different tulips and stems with all the stamp layers except the outline, then fussy cut them to cluster near my photo. And that 'never give up!' from the Painted Encouragement stamp set fit perfectly inside the label from the Happy Mail stamp set.
I added lots of stitching detail and then used the outline stamp of the tulips on the top pattern paper for more texture.
To celebrate the new releases, Altenew is is giving away $50 gift certificates to three lucky winners! Leave a comment on the Altenew blog by Friday, August 5, 11:59 p.m. EST for a chance to win!
