I was very inspired by the pattern paper and die cuts. The colors are always my favorite that Altenew comes out with, and the quality is amazing. Sturdy and thick pattern paper as well as die cuts. My first project is in the Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters Scrapbooking Insert.
In the Wildflower Bitty Bits Ephemera, the peach tag and the 'daily life' cut out inspired me to document a typical day/week. First of all, I am not a fan of selfies, but it is important that we get in our documenting too. I'm really inspired by product, and this Pathway paper from the collection. I trimmed it where the circles were part of the pattern and then machine stitched three of the circles on each of the three circles for texture. I added my journaling to vellum which helps to cover up my selfie ;) I used an older number set called Invisible Numbers to stamp on the left of my photo.
The right side is a cluster of photos in a typical week, with the tag and that 'daily life' cut out being at the top. The tag die cuts from this collection inspired me to use a piece of green pattern paper from the Wildflower 6x6 pack to create my own tag that I then layered ephemera on top. I trimmed a piece of the same pattern paper with the circles on the left, using the reverse side, to make a photo corner to add to my cluster.
I pulled out another older stamp set called Journal Card Builder to add to the 'daily life' theme.
Next I created two cards, I couldn't help myself with the beautiful papers.
I wanted to show how beautiful and easy it is to work with these papers. The card on the right uses Tangled Ferns as the background and can stand on its own, but to make it come alive even more, all I did was trim and adhere die cuts from the collection.
For the card on the left, I fussy cut flowers and leaves from the Bouquet paper to adhere directly to my card base, then added Bitty Bits Ephemera and Pink Posy Ephemera to finish.
Each card uses one of the die cuts from the collection as a sentiment. I really could have created a lot more with this collection but time ran out for me. But you can see how you can pull soft colors as I used in my scrapbook project, and then more of the bold colors for my cards.
Hope you get a chance to pick it up this collection and enter to win some prizes! Good luck on winning, and here is a list of the amazing designers you can follow along for inspiration and more chances to win. Your next stop after me is the amazing Virginia Lu.
